A single-take, live-streaming sketch comedy series

One location.
One take .
Loads of laughs.

One For The Show is a live-streamed comedy series that takes a cast of nimble performers and puts them to work in a tightly-choreographed ballet of sketch comedy. Thrust into a unique new location each episode (apartment, church, hospital, etc), they'll find the funny in every inch of the space as they navigate quick changes, crammed quarters, and timing that has to be just right.

Every episode is a oner, as in...one take, one camera, minimal crew, and lots of meticulous planning. This gives the whole production a certain intimacy: sometimes the camera is a character, sometimes an observer, but always up close and personal. Not to mention that the writers have to figure out how to scribe to the space, but also leverage the production style to their advantage—callbacks, foreshadowing, weaving sketches together, it’s all on the table here.

Don’t forget how it also adds an element of danger to each episode...even moreso than a live broadcast like SNL, if the performers here miss a cue or lose the plot, the whole thing could start to unravel in turn. How will these skilled improvisers get things back on track? Or will they nail the death-defying stunt AND get the laugh? You'll have to tune in to find out.

Interesting…but what does an episode actually look like?

Wow, what a great unsolicited question. Here’s a little “proof of concept” episode for you to check out. And yes, this was shot in a single take (ie. no “stitching” was done). And, also yes, this was filmed with no budget, so just, you know, be mindful of that.

Why should this be made right now?

The style’s on trend

The amount of single-take content has exploded recently across TV and film, but live TV hasn’t gotten onboard yet. One For The Show is Adolescence meets The Studio meets SNL.

Lots of extra content

The actual show is only part of the package. Every episode will generate loads of "how'd they do that" BTS content featuring all the quick changes, Twister-like contortions, and chaos happening just off-camera.

Live is in demand

Streaming networks are all increasing their live content output, and leaning more into event-based content too, so One For The Show is primed to meet that demand.

It’s cheaper to make

With a single camera, and single location, the amount of crew (and cast) required is greatly reduced making for a budget-friendly approach to sketch comedy.

Seems pretty rad.
